Moving with kids is a big decision.

It is not just about the house. It is about your day to day life, your routines, and the kind of environment you want your kids to grow up in.

For me, this is not just something I talk about with clients. It is something I have lived. We moved to Hubbards just after my son's first birthday, and it has been one of the best decisions we have ever made.

As millennial parents, we were searching for that sense of village and community that feels harder to find these days. And we found it here. We have completely fallen in love with this area, and I truly cannot imagine raising our son anywhere else.

It feels like an old school childhood in the best way, the kind that does not seem to exist in many places anymore.

Life Slows Down in the Best Way

One of the first things we noticed after moving here was the pace.

Things are quieter, mornings feel a little slower, and there is more space to breathe. For our family, that has meant more time together and more time outside.

It is not about having less to do. It is about doing things that actually matter more.

Outdoor Living Becomes Part of Everyday Life

Living on the South Shore naturally brings you outside more.

This is something we experience every day. Beach walks, exploring, fresh air, and space to just be. It is not something we have to plan for, it is just part of our life now.

For kids, it is such a gift. There is room to play, imagine, and grow up in a way that feels simple and grounded.

Community Feels Real Here

This was one of the biggest things we were looking for, and it is something that truly exists here.

You get to know people. Your kids grow up around familiar faces. There is a sense of support and connection that feels genuine.

It really does feel like that village everyone talks about but struggles to find.

You Will Likely Drive More

One of the adjustments that comes with this lifestyle is driving.

Errands, activities, and day to day life often involve a bit more time in the car. For us, it has become part of the rhythm.

And honestly, it feels like a small trade off for everything else this lifestyle gives back.

It Is a Lifestyle Shift, Not Just a Move

The biggest thing I can say is that moving here is not just about changing your address.

It is about choosing a different way of living. A slower pace. More connection. More time outside. More community.

For our family, it has been everything we were looking for and more.

If you are thinking about making a move to the South Shore with your family, I am always happy to talk through what that could look like for you. I have been through it myself, and I know how big of a decision it is.
